Dr. Akila Boozer

Dr. Akila Boozer has been a member of the Synergy Counseling Family since 2020. She is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in medication addiction. Dr. Boozer is a Piedmont Technical College and Chamberlain College of Nursing graduate. She recently graduated from Liberty University and has achieved her Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health.

With over 18 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Boozer treats clients holistically dealing with both mental health and substance abuse. She treats a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, and more.

Her true passion is to help clients struggling with addiction to overcome substance abuse using clinical treatments such as Methadone, Suboxone, and Subutex; hand in hand with the counseling therapies provided at Synergy Counseling of Greenwood.
